Selena Tatum
I've been on the mat since I was a teen, but yoga really became my therapy after a serious injury. My mom's a lifelong practitioner, so yoga was always kinda in the background both in life and culturally, but it took center stage when I needed healing. I dove deeper into the practice in Thailand, exploring the spiritual side of things, living for a few years in a Theravada Buddhist monastery and taking my formal vows in 2003. After a time in silence, I returned to asana study in the mid-2000s, immersing myself in the Hatha/Sivananda/Iyengar traditions as well as the Jois-Ashtanga lineages and the intuitive yoga of Diane Long and teachings of Vanda Scarvelli. I furthered my studies with a postgraduate degree in Anthropology, and a Ayurveda deepening my understanding of the human body and mind. I have led numerous workshops and teacher trainings.
Over the last twelve years, I've dedicated myself to Tantra (Mantra, Yantra and rest practices) studying with esteemed teachers like Tracee Stanley with whom I deepened my understanding of Yoga Nidra and Sri Vidya, Dr. Chanti Tacoronte-Perez, The Himalayan Institute, Sarah Tomlinson, and exploring nature-based healing practices with Lorraine Melendez. I've furthered my studies into Kriya with Swami Ayyappa & Aqami Premajyoti Saraswati and immersed myself in the Kaula Marg Tantra traditions. This diverse background and Black/Indo Caribbean/Trinidadian cultural heritage framed against the snow capped mountains of Quebec has shaped my unique teaching style, which blends traditional practices with a modern approach to well-being.
In my sessions, I guide participants through deep rest practices, incorporating elements of nature and mindfulness to cultivate a profound sense of inner peace, ease and connection. I live with my husband and our son on Nitaskinan land, in Quebec Canada.

Kura wi-Kaitaia
Kura is from the land, ocean and islands of the South Pacific region; Aotearoa, Rarotonga and Rurutu. As a child she was immersed in the Māori world, a conscious decision by her parents and many other Māori to decolonise and return to their roots. Playful and intuitive ritual & prayer, weaving through adventures into the forests and ocean caves, along rivers and mountains, submerged in the soil and the sand. Guided and protected by the ancestors always.
Unable to completely escape colonial systems, Kura walked in two worlds trying to make sense of her place. Entering a career in law she immediately felt the knowing of Not This. A desire to go against grind culture, to find meaning in her life, to continue the decolonisation work led by her parents, teachers and many before her. A desire for spiritual freedom. Activated.
Kura received the gift of yoga nidra. The liminal space felt like nothing else, yet somehow familiar. Yoga nidra sparked her curiosity, initiating 8 years of deep devotion to the practice.
Kura currently lives on Whadjuk Noongar land in Boorloo (Perth, Australia). She offers rest practices, yoga nidra workshops, and trauma healing practices. Kura is devoted to holding and protecting space for deep rest & landing home. Kura is here in service to her lineage, Mother Earth and indigenous people around the world.
